4. Acceptable use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Submit URLs that contain illegal content, CSAM, malware, or phishing material

- Reproduce, redistribute, or archive third-party copyrighted content without authorisation

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.
5. Subscription and billing
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
- You authorise us to charge your payment method on each renewal date.
- Prices are shown inclusive of VAT where applicable.
- You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- We do not offer refunds for partial months, except where required by law.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to registered users.
- Failed payments result in a 7-day grace period before downgrade to the Free tier.
6. Free tier
The Free tier is provided without charge for evaluation and light personal use. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Free tier at any time with 30 days' notice. Free tier usage is subject to lower rate limits as described on the pricing page.
7. Data and generated files
- You retain all rights to URLs you submit and PDFs generated from your content.
- Generated PDF and ZIP files are stored for 24 hours and then permanently deleted.
- We do not analyse, index, or retain the content of pages you convert.
- Scheduled job configurations are stored and processed to deliver the service.
- You may export and delete your account data at any time (see Privacy Policy).
8. API keys
- API keys grant programmatic access to your account and subscription tier.
- You are responsible for keeping API keys confidential.
- Compromised keys should be rotated immediately from your account settings.
- API key usage is subject to the same rate limits and quotas as your subscription.
9. Service availability
We target 99.9% monthly uptime for paid plans. Scheduled maintenance is performed during low-traffic windows with advance notice. Service status is available at /status. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party infrastructure (AWS, Stripe) or events outside our reasonable control.
10. Intellectual property
pdf-deploy and its logos, UI design, and underlying software are our intellectual property. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Service. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your internal business purposes.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, pdf-deploy's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages, or loss of profits or data.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless pdf-deploy from any claims, losses, or damages arising from: your violation of these Terms; your Content; your use of the Service in violation of applicable law; or your infringement of any third-party rights.
13. Termination
- You may close your account at any time from account settings. All data is deleted within 30 days.
- We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for breach of these Terms.
- On termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions that by their nature survive termination shall do so (including Sections 10–12).
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction grant you stronger rights.
15. Changes to these Terms
We will give 30 days' notice of material changes by email and/or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you may cancel your account before the effective date.
